Matt Eagan has been covering sports in Connecticut's cities and towns for almost 20 years. He covered the 1999 University of Connecticut women's basketball team, which won the national championship, and the 2004 national champion UConn men's basketball team for The Hartford Courant. Before that, he worked for papers throughout his native Connecticut, from Willimantic to Bristol, and has covered everything from Little League baseball to ski-jumping.
