Rhythms Dance Academy, founded in 2006, is the LEADER in Dance Studios in the area. We offer a recreational program as well as a complete competition package. Each class is one hour in length and meets every week. All of our classes are $35 per month (the lowest in the area), and we offer sibling and multiple class discounts, as well as a discounted competition package. We are the only studio in the area to publish all of our prices on our website so that you know what to expect when you walk through the door. There are NO JUNE TUITION FEES! There are NO LATE FEES, we only ask that you pay your tuition by the 10th of each month. There are no hidden fees or costs, no secrets or surprises, just a GUARANTEE that at RDA, you surely get more dance for your dollars!
In our recreational and competition classes, every dancer will learn proper technique and vocabulary in order to build on their dance experience. Each season starts in September and continues through May, with a June recital. A costume deposit of $50 is required of every dancer for each class they are enrolled in. RDA fund-raises for all costume balances and recital costs, so there is no additional cost to you! Every dancer is recognized for their achievements at the annual recital. There are no rehearsal fees or minimum purchase of recital tickets required. Our recital ticket prices are the lowest in the area so the entire family can enjoy the performance!
For the more serious dancer, our unique Competition Package consists of four classes, Ballet/Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acro, and Company Class. The package cost is $110 a month, which is discounted by 20% from regular class prices! Our competition team competes at several Regional and National competitions throughout the year, and has achieved a high level of success! Check out our Competition Results page to see for yourself! Competition registrations and costumes are the responsibility of the dancer; however, RDA participates in several Competition Team Fundraisers to cover these costs, making the competition experience afforable to every family and dancer. RDA auditions for the team are by appointment only, so call us if you would like to schedule a time to audition for us!
RDA is not just for kids! We also offer several adult classes in Tap, Ballet, Yoga & Pilates and Zumba in our Regular Season, as well as our Summer Season! The adult classes get great reviews and are very popular. They offer both fun and exercise!
RDA also offers a fantastic 8-week Summer Dance Program for all ages, which is a great way to try something new, or to keep dancing through the summer months. We are the only dance studio in the area to offer a complete program throughout the summer. Themed Summer Dance Day Programs are also very popular throughout the summer months and more affordably prices than any studio around. Each is a themed week, which incorporates dance, art, set design and costume creation! We have a certified Art Teacher on staff for all the art projects as well. OUR DAY PROGRAM PRICES ARE THE LOWEST AROUND FOR DAYS PACKED FULL OF ACTIVITIES! We also spend a little time getting some fresh air in the park next door to the studio!
Rhythms is a family-oriented dance studio where you can see your dancer at all times. You can see and hear the entire dance class so that you can be sure that your dancer is getting the best possible instruction! This non-intrusive monitoring will let you know that your dancer is having a great time while learning to dance! What could be better? You will always feel comfortable in our clean studio, in our spacious waiting room, with our friendly staff. We encourage you to stop by and take a tour!

Rhythms Dance Academy conducts several Girl Scout workshops for troops to come to the studio and experience dance while fulfilling badge requirements. RDA is commissioned by the Girl Scouts of America, and promoted in their Activities Book. We host troops from all over CT for this one of a kind dance experience and have had very positive feedback. Need an idea for a birthday party? We can help you there too! Our exclusive birthday package is both afforable and packed with dance and goodies for the party-goers! It's only $15 per child and the birthday person is FREE! We have a large and cheerful party room, and kitchen facilities for all the goodies. The only thing you need to bring is cake!
