Windsor Locks Tennis Loses to Ellington/Somers Monday

Number 3 doubles team won the only set.

In NCCC Girls’ Tennis, Ellington/Somers defeated Windsor Locks 7-0 at Somers Monday on the first warm afternoon of the season. 

Subbing as the #3 Doubles team for Windsor Locks, Sophomore Shrinkhala Swaroop and Freshman Jaz Veloso, won the team’s only set of the day before losing 3-6 in the third set of a hard-fought match to #3 Ellington/Somers Freshman Emily Ventura and Sophomore Katie Fawthrop.

At #4 Singles for Windsor Locks, Senior Co-Captain Amy Wetzel played a great 2nd set before falling 5-7 to Ellington/Somers #4 Freshman Janna Ganaski.
