Windsor Locks, East Windsor Public Schools Closed Friday
Because of the potential for significant snowfall on Friday, the kiddos and district staff will get an unplanned long weekend!
It's official: no school Friday (Feb. 8) in Windsor Locks and East Windsor.
Superintendents of both school districts called it well ahead of time, deciding to err on the side of caution and keep the students and staff off the roads just as the intense snow is expected to fly.
According to the latest weather predictions from the National Weather Service, the snow will start at around 4 a.m. on Friday. The blustery and blizzard-like weather is expected to remain in the area through mid-day Saturday, possibly dumping 18 to 24 inches of snow on the region. And don't forget about the actual blizzard warning...
