Students Present "Seussical" in East Windsor

The family-friendly show includes students from all three schools in town.

A few of Dr. Seuss’ favorite characters will come alive on stage this weekend, as the East Windsor Panther Players present “Seussical," the musical.

Directed by Marika Kraus, Chorale Director at East Windsor High School, the show is narrated by the Cat in the Hat and follows the adventures of Horton the Elephant, Lazy Mayzie, Gertrude McFuzz and all the Whos of Whoville.

When Kraus held auditions for the show in October, there was a lot of interest. About 50 students are involved in the production from acting to lighting, costume and set design to sound.

The cast includes students from Broad Brook Elementary School, East Windsor Middle School and East Windsor High School. Kraus said the younger students bring a high energy to the show that helps boost everyone else’s energy.

“The fourth-graders are just so excited,” she said. “The parents’ involvement has been great as well.”
