East Windsor Students Celebrate Achievements

The Class of 2012 gathers to announce scholarships and awards for seniors.

East Windsor High School seniors were recognized Tuesday night at the annual honors and scholarship awards ceremony. Parents and friends gathered in the high school auditorium to celebrate their accomplishments.

Principal Edward Keleher said it was great to see the hard work of the students being rewarded. “This is my first year here, so I have only known these students for a year, but they are a terrific senior class and very deserving of all the awards given out tonight,” he said.

Along with academic awards, more than $60,000 in scholarships was awarded to the Class of 2012. Awards and scholarships were sponsored by the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, PTO, Booster Club, Broad Brook Fire Department, Warehouse Point Fire Department, East Windsor Ambulance, the American Legion, and local businesses as well as a number of awards in memory of former faculty or students.
