East Windsor Public Schools Open For Students Friday

Opening was delayed for two days because of Tropical Storm Irene-related power outages at school buildings.

After being delayed for two days because of power outages, East Windsor Public Schools will start the academic year Friday.

Superintendent of Schools Theresa Kane said the Tropical Storm Irene-related power outages in East Windsor, affected , and the . was never without power, Kane said.

“All our power issues have been solved,” Kane said.

Teachers officially report to schools on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday there will be a convocation for faculty and staff. The ceremony will include recognitions of teachers, and Teacher of the Year, Emily Marchinkoski, will give a speech, Kane said.

At 2 p.m. on Thursday, there will be a visitation for Broad Brook Elementary School students.

All students except, kindergarteners start school Friday. Kindergarten students start school on September 9.

Please note the following regular day opening and dismissal times:

  • East Windsor High School: 7:30 a.m. starting time; and 2:05 p.m. dismissal.

 

  • East Windsor Middle School: 8:10 a.m. starting time; and 2:45 p.m. dismissal.

 

  • Broad Brook Elementary School: 9:05 a.m. starting time; and 3:40 p.m. dismissal.   

          A.M. Pre-Kindergarten: 9:05 a.m. starting time; and 11:55 a.m. dismissal.


          P.M. Kindergarten: 12:50 p.m. starting time; and 3:40 p.m. dismissal.
