The East Windsor High athletic director position is open after Brian Maltese stepped down at the end of the school year, according to a school official.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Theresa Kane said in a telephone interview that Maltese, a math teacher at the high school, resigned the from the position after 8 years.
“Brian has certainly done a fine job as athletic director of the East Windsor public schools,” Kane said. “We wish him well as he moves forward in his career.”

Kane said that he will remain in the East Windsor public school system.
A search for a new AD is being conducted by East Windsor High Principal Ted Keleher.

Kane said that members of the community - including the East Windsor High Booster Club and representatives of the town’s youth athletic association - have been asked to join in the search.
