Global Warming Facts and Myths- Conflicts between Science and Politics Wed Sept 26th at Windsor Locks Public LIbrary
Global Warming is a hot issue and a term that has been thrown around for years but what exactly is it and is it really happening? Come to the Windsor Locks Library Wednesday September 26th at 630pm for an informative talk by David Law, Ph.D. Law will speak on Global Warming Facts and Myths- Conflicts between Science and Politics. The talk will examine the sources of scientific data and knowledge that shape the ideas (fact or fiction) about global warming. Law will share the results of a survey taken by the American Public and their views as well as the debates surrounding global warming and politics. Law received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Chung Chi College in Hong Kong and his Pj.D. degree in organic chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. He was a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Association of Nonwoven Fabrics and since 2005 he's been a volunteer instructor for Computer Graphics at the Enfield Senior Center.
