"Showcase for Dogs" Training and Event Blog

A discussion of dog training and communication sponsored by Showcase for Dogs, 121 North Rd., East Windsor, CT

My name is Doug Humphrey and I am a dog trainer at Showcase for Dogs located at 121 North Rd in East Windsor. Our new state of the art training facility offers a variety of training venues that address everything from behavioral issues to top level competition instruction.

We are in the process of developing our working dog facility which will offer training for police, personal protection, search and rescue, and detection dogs. I have over 20 years of dog training experience.

I am the founding member of the East Windsor Police Canine Unit. I have trained many dogs in both the public safety and civilian arena. The purpose for this blog is to offer some insight into common issues that affect the human/dog relationship.

I will post information on training, behavior and events. I am also interested in particular questions or issues that readers of this blog may be dealing with or are interested in. My hope is that this blog will be interactive and that I can assist you in problem solving and in advancing your understanding of your dog and your ability to effectively communicate with them.
