What's Happening in Government This Week, Jan 30-Feb. 3

A listing of government meetings in Windsor Locks and East Windsor this week.

 

Monday

A special town meeting is being held in East Windsor at 7:30 p.m.  Voters will be asked to approve a transfer $9,100 to fund a study of erosion problems at Springdale Cemetery; and adopt ordinances establishing a building code board of appeals and a permanent shared services committee.

Tuesday

State Rep. Christopher Davis, R-Ellington, will be holding office hours in East Windsor Town Hall from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Town residents can speak to Davis about state issues that concern them. Davis will also be speaking about legislation that will be brought before the legislature during the 2012 legislative session.

State Senator John A. Kissel on will meet at 6 p.m. with mayors and first selectmen from the seven towns of the 7th senatorial district at .

The meeting in the Ella Grasso Conference Room, will review the major issues that area leaders wish to see addressed in the Connecticut General Assembly this year. The legislative session starts on Feb 8.
