Traveltini Is Ready To Meet Passengers At Bradley International Airport

A martini bar is the latest venue to open at Bradley.

opened a new Martini bar Thursday in Terminal A with members of the newly-formed Connecticut Airport Authority on hand.

Traveltini is one of the new businesses Bradley officials earlier this year announced would be opening to update options for passengers traveling through the airport.

“It’s a tremendous venue,” Eric Waldron, Bradley airport administrator said.

Mary Ellen Jones, chairwoman of the airport authority, said in a statement that Traveltini is a fabulous addition concessions at the airport.

“The martini bar has a very upscale feel and offers a quiet respite from the hustle-bustle inside the airport,” Jones said. “Passengers can sit back, relax and enjoy a cocktail and selections off a casual menu.”

Karen Jarmoc, another airport authority board member, said one of the authority’s greatest commitments is to build economic development in and around Connecticut’s airports.

“This fits the bill,” Jarmoc said during Thursday’s grand opening ceremony.

Traveltini is being run by Michell Bradley Group, which also operates the Cask & Barrel Bistro, Black Bear Saloon, a McDonald’s Restaurant and a Fresh City Sandwich/Wraps/Salad concessions at Bradley.

State Transportation Commissioner James Redeker said with the opening of Traveltini, the airport is “upping the game.”

“Bradley’s customers asked for new and interesting offerings at the Airport, and we heard their requests,” Redeker said in a released statement.  “Many months of planning and design occurred before the first martini could be poured . . . the result is a fantastic new venue for our customers. In addition, five new jobs were created with the opening of Traveltini.”

Bradley International Airport is the second largest in New England and serves an extensive geographic area, as its customer base covers the entire Northeast including Western Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey.  According to the most recent economic impact analysis, Bradley contributes $4 billion in economic activity to the state of Connecticut and the surrounding region, representing $1.2 billion in wages and 18,000 full-time jobs, officials said.
