Train Station for a Buck? Vote in Windsor Locks Tuesday

Plans for restoration of historic old station already being drawn up.

Should Windsor Locks buy one of its most important historic landmarks for a dollar?

If so, keep Tuesday night free. That's when a town meeting will be held to vote on whether to pay 60 cents for the town's old train station. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

The restoration of the train station, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is already in the works, as architectural plans are being drawn up by a Hartford firm using state grant funds.
