Five things to do in East Windsor and Windsor Locks today.

1. Welcome to Tuesday, March 20. The warm weather continues, as morning clouds are predicted to give way to afternoon sunshine and a high of 71 degrees.

2. On this day in 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson told Alabama Gov. George Wallace that he would call up the Alabama National Guard if necessary to supervise a planned civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery.

Several days later, 50,000 marchers, under the watch of state and federal troops, followed civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and arrived safely in Montgomery on March 25.
