Letter to the Editor: Reelect George Hall to the Windsor Locks Police Commission

I am writing this letter on behalf of George Hall, for reelection to the Windsor Locks Police Commission.  In a world of increased crime, gaps in education, and divisions of classes, George serves as a positive role model to both young and old.  His participation in community service activities has taught me that I could have a significant impact on someone else’s life just by being there. With over three decades of volunteerism to the youth of Windsor Locks, George has demonstrated his commitment to this town by remaining active civilly and politically.

George served in the Korean War as a U.S. Army Military Police Officer, and is a lifetime member of the VFW and member of the American Legion.  Being a former Police Officer, coupled with his experience on the Police Commission and serving as a Constable, George brings a perspicacity to the group like no other.  George has been a mentor to me, and has George has been an integral part of the resurrection of the Windsor Locks Police Commission.  George and I (along with the rest of the search committee) sifted and read over 70 Police Chief applications together, which resulted in the hiring of Chief Osanitsch.  The increased patrols and the professional appearance of our Police Officers is in large part due to input George has had on the Commission.

When the idea of a retirement incentive was proposed, George recognized the positive impact of promoting from within and hiring new experienced officers to bring about change to the department, he wholeheartedly supported the plan from its conception. Please vote for George Hall in November, and keep the positive progress on the Police Commission moving in the right direction.
