JetBlue Airways Adds Route: Bradley International Airport to Palm Beach

The low fare airline add its fourth route from Bradley since it started flights there last November.

JetBlue Airways is expanding its service at to include daily non-stop service to West Palm Beach International Airport starting  January 12, the company announced today.

This is the JetBlue’s fourth destination added from Hartford in the past year, when the airline began service from Bradley. Flights are on sale today through October 6, 2011 at www.jetblue.com/new for as low as $79 each way for travel between January 12 and March 31, 2012, JetBlue officials said in a press release. The daily, year-round West Palm Beach service begins on January 12.

“We’re very excited to announce nonstop service between Hartford and Palm Beach, Florida,” Dave Clark, director of route planning for JetBlue Airways, said in a press release. “We find that Hartford and Palm Beach are a great fit for the JetBlue brand. We’ve had a lot of success in both of those communities and we feel that travelers really appreciate the extra offerings that JetBlue gives; the extra legroom, the free DirecTV, and the award-winning customer service.”

JetBlue is a low-fare airline that has more than 600 daily flights to more than 60 destinations in 11 countries throughout the Americas. It operates a fleet of 151 aircraft. Bradley was JetBlue's 63rd destination when it landed there in November, officials said.

"JetBlue's ongoing and increasing investment in service to and from Bradley is welcome news for tourists and business travelers -- not to mention Connecticut's economy,” said Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy said in a press release.  “From its finance center in Darien to its use of Pratt & Whitney engines on its jets, JetBlue has proven itself as a key partner for growth in our state. I applaud their decision to begin service to yet another Florida destination from Bradley."

“We are thrilled about this new daily Hartford – West Palm Beach flight – it certainly reaffirms the trust and longstanding commitment by JetBlue in our destination as they grow their South Florida presence,” Palm Beach County CVB President and CEO Jorge Pesquera said in the release. “JetBlue has been serving The Palm Beaches and Boca Raton through PBIA since their company’s launch in 2000, and we are very proud that a full decade later both JetBlue and JetBlue Getaways continue to step up this partnership, bringing thousands of new customers from a critically important and affluent market.”

JetBlue serves Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Fla. nonstop from Hartford and will begin service to San Juan, Puerto Rico starting on January 5.  Hartford customers can also connect to other destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America via Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, including Aguadilla and Ponce, Puerto Rico; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Bogota, Colombia; and Cancun, Mexico, or JetBlue's recently announced St. Thomas and St. Croix, through San Juan, JetBlue officials said.
