Windsor Locks Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Police are searching for a male suspect who allegedly demanded cash while pointing a small handgun at an employee of the Shell Gas Station on Ella Grasso Turnpike early Monday.

The following information was provided by the Windsor Locks Police Department:

On Monday, Dec. 17, at 2:37 a.m., Windsor Locks police responded to the Airport Shell gas station located at 80 Ella Grasso Tpke. for a report of an armed robbery.

The lone employee of the gas station reported that a male wearing a mask over his face, gloves and brandishing a small handgun entered the business and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect is described as being about 5 ft. 7 in. tall, thin build and wearing a black jacket and orange pants.

The suspect left the business on foot in an unknown direction. An undetermined amount of money was stolen from the business.
