Windsor Locks PD Searching for Robbery Suspect
Thursday night, a man allegedly reached over the counter at the Wendy's Restaurant on Ella Grasso Turnpike and took money from the register, according to police.
The following information was provided by the Windsor Locks Police Department:
Windsor Locks police are investigating a robbery of the Wendy's Restaurant located at 81 Ella Grasso Tpke., which took place on the evening of Jan. 10 at approximately 9:30 p.m.
The suspect is described as a light skinned male, possibly Hispanic, with short dark hair, approx. 5 foot 8 inches tall, medium build and wearing a short sleeved polo shirt with white, yellow and brown horizontal stripes.

The suspect reached over the counter and stole cash from the register during a sales transaction and fled from the business. The suspect left the scene in what was described as a possible 1996 white Toyota Corolla. One employee was slightly injured in the incident when he attempted to stop the suspect from driving off.
