Strong Arm Robbery Being Investigated in Windsor Locks

Man forces cashier to take money from register.

Windsor Locks police are investigating the strong arm robbery of City Check Cashing, 97 Old County Road, on Thursday evening.

Capt. Chester DeGray said a man entered the secured area of the store around 5:30 p.m. and forced a female employee to remove cash from the register. He tied up the clerk and locked her in a bathroom. He fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money, DeGray said.

The suspect was caught on surveillance tape, DeGray said. He is described as white, about six feet tall and about 30 years old. He was wearing a blue shirt with horizontal stripes, blue jeans and a light blue baseball cap.
