State Police Will Be Stepping Up DUI Enforcement For Super Bowl Weekend

Troopers will be in roving DUI patrols starting Thursday evening.

 

The State Police Traffic Services Unit, supported by State Police Patrol Troopers, will be out in full force beginning Thursday evening, as they prepare for the historically busy Super Bowl weekend, state police officias said in a press release. 

Troopers will be conducting roving DUI patrols, each conducted in an effort to identify and apprehend intoxicated motor vehicle operators.
 
State Police personnel will be deployed to areas that are heavily traveled as they actively seek out and identify those individuals that are operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and or drugs, in furthering efforts to ensure this a safe, enjoyable weekend for all citizens and visitors traveling the Connecticut highways, officials said.
