Police: Windsor Locks Woman Died After Being Hit By Car

Patricia Claffey died Wednesday night after she was hit by a car.

A press release from the Windsor Locks Police Department:

On November 06, at 9:38 p.m., police received 911 calls reporting a car vs. pedestrian accident near the intersection of Rte 75 (Ella Grasso Trpk) and National Drive. Upon the officers arrival they found a women lying in the northbound lane. The Windsor Locks Ambulance transported the women to Hartford Hospital where she died a short time later.

The pedestrian has been identified as Patricia Claffey, age 73 of Windsor Locks. The operator of the vehicle was identified as John Taylor, age 52 of Newington.

The Windsor Locks Police Department and the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad are investigating the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
