Man Arrested at Bradley for Alleged "Bomb" Comment

A North Carolina man faces criminal charges for making a remark during TSA screening at Bradley International Airport.

A North Carolina man remains in police custody just one day after he was arrested at a security checkpoint at Bradley International Airport, according to ABC's Springfield affiliate, WGGB.

According to WGGB, 26-year-old Jordan Rickard was selected by TSA agents for additional screening at a security checkpoint.

When asked whether or not he had anything in his pockets, Rickard told agents, "Yes, I have a bomb," WGGB reports.

Citing Bradley Airport Director Kevin Dillon, WGGB reports security screening was temporarily suspended.

According to the Hartford Courant, Rickard was released from police after being arraigned in Enfield Superior Court Tuesday.

Having been held on $25,000 bond, Rickard was released on a promise to appear in court.

Rickard was charged with falsely reporting an incident, tampering with airport security and breach of peace, according to the Hartford Courant.
