Man Arrested At Airport After Security Finds Throwing Stars

Police say the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) made the discovery at Bradley International Airport on Saturday.

Connecticut state police say a man tried to board a plane at with a set of throwing stars in his carry-on luggage.

Shane McDonald, 24, of no address given, was charged with tampering with airport security after the incident early Saturday at the Windsor Locks airport.

According to police, the three throwing stars were detected at a security checkpoint.

McDonald’s bond was set at $500 and he is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on Friday, July 8.
