Enfield Man Arrested for Arson

East Windsor police allege man started Nov. 26 blaze that destroyed recreational vehicles and cars.

A 51-year-old Enfield man was charged with arson Friday in connection with a Nov. 26 fire that destroyed two recreational vehicles and five cars in East Windsor, according to police.

Ronald M. Godin, of 42 King St., is charged with third-degree arson, second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief, police said. Godin was released on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on Jan. 4.

Police served Godin with an arrest warrant at 7:27 a.m. Friday. The arrest stems from the investigation of a suspicious fire behind Small Town Auto Repair, 8 Bridge St., East Windsor, at 6:38 a.m. Nov. 26, police said.

Godin was also charged by police with damage done to a gazebo behind JR's Cafe, which is next to Small Town Auto Repair. Evidence at the scene linked Godin to the damage, police said.
