Chief Osanitsch: I Ask You For Your Support

The following was written by WIndsor Locks Police Chief Eric Osanitsch.

To the citizens of Windsor Locks

The Windsor Locks Police Department is your Police Department. We are here to serve your needs and to provide professional / competent service and investigations.. The past few years have been a rough period for our dedicated Officers, who are fully behind the changes already made and future changes that need to be accomplished. I will do everything within my power to ensure that you, the citizens, receive the services you are entitled to and that this Police Department achieves accreditation status (meaning it meets current policing standards graded by an outside authority).

In order to achieve these goals, I ask you to support the revised proposed budget and vote for its adoption Tuesday June18th.  The proposed budget was significantly reduced from a 1.27 mil increase to the current .46 increase you will be voting on Tuesday. I cannot understate the importance of this town moving forward in the areas of education and public safety. These two areas are major factors when potential new residents or businesses decide if Windsor Locks is right for them, and directly influence your property values. The majority of Windsor Locks home owners would see an increase of between $3.83 - $ 5.75 dollars per month in property taxes. While no one enjoys paying more, I can ensure you that the return you will see for that amount will be money well spent for the future of this town.

I give you my professional and personal assurance that together we will develop a Police Department that you have full faith in and that provides the professional service you demand. I appreciate your time and consideration.
