14 Cranston Teens Arrested during NH Ski Trip

The Cranston teenagers were caught having an underage drinking party at the Royalty Inn in Berlin, N.H.

Police in Berlin, N.H., rounded up 14 Cranston teenagers after they stumbled upon an underage drinking party at the Royalty Inn last weekend while responding to an unrelated domestic disturbance at the motel.

According to the Berlin Daily Sun, Berlin police were dispatched to the motel after a report of a disturbance between a male and a female. When that matter was resolved, police smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

Police soon tracked the odor down to a group of teens at the hotel who were drinking and smoking marijuana. They were reportedly on a ski trip.

All 14 were arrested and released to the custody of an adult. They are due to appear in court on Feb. 19.

Among the 14 arrested were several 18-year-old adults: Joseph Cunetta, Brandon Bichejian, Dan Plaziak, and Jonathan Day.

Berlin Police released the names of all 14, including minors, as reported in the Berlin Daily Sun.

Note: police still consider a summons and release at the scene as an arrest.

A previous version of this story named the 17-year-olds who were arrested and released to their parents. They have been removed from this article upon request, but the names are still publicly available from Berlin Police and media outlets in New Hampshire.

It appears my account here may have been hacked. I did NOT post the above message. I'll be contacting Mark to find out what happened.

It appears that my account may have been hacked. I did NOT write the post in this thread that said Cranston West sponsored this trip. That is simply not true. I've contacted Mark and asked him to remove the erroneous post and post a correction. Jeff Gale

Someone registered a fake Jeff Gale account and posted the now-deleted message saying it was a sanctioned event. Sorry for letting it through.

To all the teenagers involved with this incident, you may be acting like this is no big deal now and that your actions have no consequences, but think about this...your names are now plastered all over the internet. Good luck getting any type of big time job where they simply Google your name to see what comes up.
