PUT AN END TO WAWRUCKVILLE

As far as endorsing Wawruck I have seen too much of his maipulation. Steve Wawruck allowed Kevin Brace to enter a Letter into the Minutes of a meeting that Mr. Brace wasn't present at. Wawruck was later asked by another Town resident to have a letter entered into the Minutes of a BOS meeting that he couldn't attend. Wawruck denied his request.  I have personally watched him in action showing little or no respect for Slectwoman Balboni and others who disagree with him.  His style of leadership is that of a dictator. At times he claims to have no influence on Town Boards and Commissions but yet I have seen him sit Ex-Officio on more than one occassion in Executiive Sessions of the Police Commission. This is not to say that Mr. Wawruck hasn't acomplished some very positive things for the Town

I believe that the First Selectman should be fair and imparcial to everyone regardless of their party affliatian. That his/her demeanor be Professional at all times. That he/she not cater to”The Good Ole Boys”and not show favoritism.  There should be transparency in our Town Meeting form of government.

Most decisions in Town are made by very few of our electorate. Town Meetings are called and the meeting are Stacked with one political party or the other. A show of hands vote is taken and and the measure passed. The only way to stop this chicanery  would be to have a Referendum on all Town issues but this would be costly. The other alternative would be for more voters to attend Town Meetings. I personally would like to thank Mike Ciarcia and Paul Harrington for bringing the 2013-2014 Budget to a Referendum. This allowed many more voters the opportunity to weigh in on the Proposed Budget.  Leadership style should be consistent and not fluctuate depending on what day of the week it is! 

Let's put an end to Wawruckville and elect Dennis Granolatti and Mike Russo.
