Letter to the Editor: Davis Supports Seniors

As someone living on a fixed income, I know I can count on State Representative Christopher Davis to fight to make Connecticut more affordable for families and seniors. As our representative for East Windsor and Ellington, Christopher opposed the largest tax increase in state history that has hit our state’s elderly community especially hard.

Christopher has also made a strong effort to keep our community informed of the issues by hosting numerous legislative updates at the East Windsor and Ellington Senior Centers as well as town hall meetings throughout the district. Christopher has also called for more responsible spending and a reduction in the level of borrowing by the state so we do not push an even greater burden on to our children and grandchildren.

Christopher even proposed legislation to remove the taxes on pension income so our seniors can retire more comfortably in our state. I strongly encourage all of my fellow residents in East Windsor and Ellington to support the re-election of State Representative Christopher Davis if we want to make Connecticut more affordable.
