Obituary: Scott Fay, 65, East Windsor High Graduate

Scott Francis Fay, 65, of Broad Brook, passed away on Tuesday, March 25.

Fay was born in Hartford on December 19, 1948, son of Elisabeth (Sargent) “Betsy” Fay of Broad Brook and the late Francis M. Fay. He lived in Broad Brook for most of his life.

Fay graduated from East Windsor High School with honors in 1966, attended Fairfield University and attained a bachelor’s degree Phi Beta Kappa in 1970. He joined his father at F.M. Fay Associates in 1972, and worked in insurance until the day he died.

He was a devoted grandfather, and enjoyed fishing and antique-ing in his later years and hunting, fishing, and numismatics with his sons in his younger years. 

In addition to his mother, Betsy Fay; two sons, and their children, Timothy Fay and his daughter, Lilliana Elisabeth Fay and Patrick Fay and his son, Camden Paul Hudson; Scott’s fiancée, Lois Maturo; two step daughters, Katherine and Colleen Ferguson, their five children, Zachary Vaulton, Tariq, Ibrahim, Salma, and Monsouir Choudary. He leaves many associates and customers that were his dear friends.

Calling Hours: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., Somers

Memorial Service: 4 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Somers Funeral Home

Burial: Private

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warehouse Point Library, 107 Main St., East Windsor, CT 06088 or to the Second Congregational Church of Stafford, 197 West Stafford Road, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
