Obituary: Judith E. (Roth) Siegmund

Before retiring, she was employed by the Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford for 15 years.

Judith E. (Roth) Siegmund, 75, beloved and devoted wife of Ralph E. Siegmund, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside on Friday (February 3, 2012) at Chestnut Point, East Windsor.

She was born in Canton, Ohio on September 17, 1936 daughter of the late Michael and Stella (Kavalousky) Roth. She and Ralph moved to East Windsor upon their retirement. Prior to that they lived in South Windsor where they raised their daughters. Before retiring, she was employed by the Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford for 15 years. Judy was a Girl Scout Leader in Ohio and Connecticut and loved scrap booking and many other crafts. She was also a big fan of the UConn Women’s Basketball team and attended all games and the Final Four. The family would like to thank the visiting nurse, Allison, who came to the house and was so special and caring. Also, the entire Hospice Team from the Visiting Nurse Association and their dedicated care. With a note of appreciation to Chestnut Point.

She leaves behind her husband, Ralph, whom she married on December 27, 1956 in Richville, Ohio and enjoyed 55 years of happiness as each other’s best friend, partner and soul mate. Judy also leaves her daughters, Karen Shea and her husband, Dave and two adoring grandchildren, Amanda and David Shea all of South Windsor and Kimberly Sheridan and her husband, Peter of Colchester.

There will be no calling hours and the burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
