Author Jennifer Weiner to Headline March of Dimes Inaugural Brunch for Babies

On Saturday, June 21st, Connecticut residents are invited to attend the March of Dimes inaugural Brunch for Babies in Avon – a morning to celebrate women and moms -- all for a great cause – stronger, healthier babies.  Joining the festivities is world-renowned author and Connecticut native, Jennifer Weiner.


Brunch for Babies will feature a delicious meal served by Farmington Valley area restaurants, exclusive desserts by Taste by Spellbound, a lively silent auction and a book reading and Q&A with Weiner.  A limited number of guests will also receive a complimentary copy of Weiner’s newest novel, All Fall Down, with their event ticket purchase.


World-renowned author Jennifer Weiner made her sensational debut with The New York Times best-seller Good in Bed, the story of a smart, witty plus-size pop-culture journalist whose ex-boyfriend chronicles their ex-sex life on the pages of a top-selling women’s magazine.  The following year, Weiner turned her attention to the love/hate affairs of sisterhood in her second novel, In Her Shoes, which instantly became a New York Times best-seller.  Audiences around the world saw In Her Shoes come to life when the film version was released by Twentieth Century Fox in October 2005, starring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette and Shirley MacLaine.

Weiner’s other best-selling novels include Certain Girls, Best Friends Forever, Fly Away Home, and The Next Best Thing, just to name a few. Her newest novel, All Fall Down, which will be featured and discussed at Brunch for Babies, will be released on June 17th.  Weiner brings her charm and wit to the lecture podium, discussing her books, personal experiences and women’s search for a sense of self.  In the same sharp and entertaining tone that fills her novels, Weiner wins over audiences with her unforgettable comedic style, making her a favorite speaker that audiences absolutely adore.
