The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) has awarded State Representative Peggy Sayers (D-Windsor/Windsor Locks) a 100 percent rating for her support and advocacy of environmental issues in their 2012 Environmental Scorecard.

“Whether you are considering proposals dealing with energy, clean water or air pollution, good environmental policies are also good for our economy,” Sayers said. “Legislation we passed this year will help protect our air, water and open space for all residents and it is an honor to be recognized by an organization that does so much for our environment.”

CTLCV specifically highlighted Sayers’ votes on open space, water conservation and coastal management among others.

Formed in 1998, the bipartisan CTLCV works on laws that affect Connecticut's air, water, wildlife, open space, transportation, energy choices, and health.

“The League continues to be a watchdog and activist leader at the Capitol advocating for Connecticut’s most important assets: the air we breathe, the water we drink and the landscapes we treasure and require,” said CTLCV Co-Chair David Bingham.
