Memorial Day Veterans' Drive

The Windsor Locks Congregational Church, 8 Main St.,

invites the public to join them on May 26 for free hot dogs and drinks during the town’s Memorial Day celebration. The church will also be accepting donations for the Connecticut State Veterans Home and the Sgt. John L. Levitow Veteran’s Health Center in Rocky Hill from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Two military vehicles will be parked in the front of the church’s parking lot to collect donations. Veterans are in need of sandals or shower shoes, shampoo, conditioner, razors, lotion, deodorant, T-shirts, jeans, socks and cotton underwear. All items must be new and in their original packaging. Gift cards to stores such as WalMart and Target are welcome.
