Auditions for HAIRSPRAY

Opera House Players announce auditions for HAIRSPRAY the musical on October 15 and 17 at 7pm at the Broad Brook Opera House, 107 Main Street, Broad Brook, CT 06016.

Please prepare: 32 bars of an up tempo song or 16 bars of ballad (preferably not from Hairspray) bring sheet music – accompanist will be provided.  Dress and be prepared to dance.  Bring resume & head shot if you have them.  “Sell us” your song.  Bring schedule to determine schedule conflicts.

Roles: 25 roles total.  13 women total (5 black women). 12 men total (4 black men).

Rehearsals: rehearsals begin Nov. 12th with a week off for the end of the year holidays.

Performance dates: February 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 2013
