Southwest Airlines Flight from Bradley International Airport to Nashville Canceled When Plane Damaged

Officials said minor damage was caused by a catering truck.

A Southwest Airlines flight from Bradley International Airport to Nashville was canceled Thursday morning when the plane was damaged near the departure gate earlier in the morning.

Jack Chmura, airport operations specialist, said a catering truck maneuvering under a wing of the plane caused "minor, minor damage." Another plane has to be used for the flight, Chmura said.

The plane had been parked at the airport overnight. No passengers were onboard when the damage occurred, Chmura said.
