Say Goodbye to the Snow: Weekend Temps May Reach 50-Plus

A warming trend is on the way.

Since Christmas Day, the ground has been pretty much covered with the white stuff, but the snow may not be around for long.

The National Weather Service is predicting a significant warming trend this weekend, with temperatures expected to reach 54 degrees in Windsor Locks and East Windsor on Sunday.

On Saturday, there is a slight chance of rain with a high temperature of 45. The overnight low should be 38 degrees.

On Sunday, the National Weather Service calls for a chance of showers after noon and a high near 54 degrees.

With the warming trend, make sure to take care on any ponds or lakes where you might have been ice fishing over the past few weeks. More than likely they will no longer be safe.
