Puppy Bowl is Amazing, East Windsor Open Gym, EW, Windsor Locks Tax Forms

Here are five things going on in the area today.

Good morning, East Windsor and Windsor Locks! Today is Monday, Feb. 4, 2013; there are 330 days left in the year.

Hey friends, here’s a piece of advice from your favorite (and only) local editor: never, ever, under any circumstances, watch The Puppy Bowl with two children, particularly after you’ve said that the family will get a dog soon.

You see, we already have a full house, what with the two kids, two cats, a wife/mom and an incredibly good looking, smart, funny husband/dad.

The kids (and the local editor) want every breed of puppy. It’s up to my wife to be the bad guy here. I just go nuts when I see one of the pups get flagged for excessive cuteness.

So my poor wife has to be the one to say no. Poor thing.

Here’s your Daily 5:

1. There is a Mens Open Gym at East Windsor High today at 8 p.m.

2. “A Lincoln Portrait -The Man who Painted Lincoln" (George Henry Story) will be on exhibit at Wood Memorial Library and Museum in South Windsor through Feb. 28.

3. 2013 Connecticut Income Tax forms and Federal 1040EZ are now available at the Windsor Locks Public Library and the Warehouse Point library in East Windsor.

4. ACTIVE fitness classes in Enfield all day.

5. There is am East Windsor CIP special meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m.
