Patch Picks: Easter Brunch

Some suggestions of places to enjoy brunches in the area.

This week the theme is Easter Brunches, Patch has found a number of places you can check out if you are planning to go out on Easter:

The Nutmeg

At , seating for Easter Sunday Brunch is $29.99 per person and is by reservation only. It includes Eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, homefries, scrambled eggs, broiled seafood, grilled chicken with mushroom rague, pasta Bolognese, pasta primavera, sausage and peppers, vegetable medley, potato salad, fruit salad, pasta salad, assorted green salad, antipasto. Carving stations include roast beef, Virginia baked ham, leg of lamb, and rosemary roasted pork loin. There also will be a selection of desserts.

The Mill on the River

Easter dinner at The Mill on the River includes choice of one soup or salad, one entree, and one dessert for $32.95. It is served from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There also are a variety of starters, including seafood, pate, garlic and gorgonzola bread, and antipasto. Salad choices include spinach, fresh baby greens, Caesar, Toscana or BLT salad. Soup choices include cream of mushroom, onion soup or shrimp bisque. There are 13 different entrée options, including chicken, lamb, ham, seafood, steak or pasta. Seven dessert choices include tiramisu, cheese cake, crème brulee and more. The Adams Mill

At , Easter Buffet Brunch is from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Easter Sunday, with reservation seating from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $29 for adults, $23 for teenagers, and $11 for children. Stations include pastries and bread; fresh fruit; Belgian waffles; carving station with roast sirloin; omelets and dessert. Hot buffet includes eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, French toast, roast pork loin, chicken of the day, pasta of the day, fresh salmon, home fries and potatoes au gratin. The restaurant also offers an Easter Dinner Buffet, with reservation seating from 4-7 p.m.

 

La Notte Restaurant

Reservations are required atfor Sunday Easter Brunch, seatings are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The buffet menu includes an omelet station, pasta station, a carving station with ham, beef and lamb; scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, French toast, Eggs Benedict, Danish, bagels, muffins, baked fish, seafood casserole, peel and eat shrimp, sliced, stuffed chicken breast, veal cacciatore, vegetables and rice. There also will be Bloody Marys and mimosas as well as a dessert table. The brunch is $25.95 for adults and $15.95 for children younger than 12.

 

Pond House Café

Easter Brunch reservations are now available, with limited seating left, at the Pond House Café. The buffet meal is $33 for adults, $14.95 for children 12 and younger and is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Situated on Elizabeth Park on the West Hartford/Hartford line, The Pond House Café offers a wide array of breakfast and lunch items. For their egg dishes, The Pond House Café uses Connecticut farm-fresh organic eggs. Although the Easter Brunch menu was not available, the usual Sunday menu includes omelets, French toast, Eggs Benedict and Eggs Rancheros.
