My Secret Weapon Part II, Movie in East Windsor, Breakdancing Classes

Here are five things going on in the area today.

Good morning, Windsor Locks and East Windsor! Today is Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013; there are 313 days left in the year.

It’s been a while, so I’m going back to my secret weapon, 14-year-old Community Editor Elyssa Millspaugh (Ed. Correction: she’s 24), who is going to help me again communicate with the kids.

Elyssa, as you know, is in high school (Ed. Correction: she’s a UConn graduate who has worked at Patch for a couple years and is a talented journalist.)

Anyhoo, she is my translator when I go into the high schools to talk to the kids.

So the following sentence...

"Like OMG Ted, you're gonna be a dad? Super cute! That baby outfit you picked out is to die! So fab!"

Is translated thusly by Elyssa...

“Theodore, my good man, I understand that you and your wife are expecting. That’s wonderful news! Your choice in how to clothe the infant is a good one. Very nice.”

Seriously, without Elyssa, I’d be lost. Thanks Elyssa.

Totes Mcgoats! ZOMG!
