With an intimate dining area, Mei Tzu has a range of Asian dishes, including Chinese, Japanese and Thai specialties. You can sit at the sushi bar and order sushi, sashimi or hand rolls, that range from $3.50 to $9, or sushi entrees that include miso soup or salad.

Mei Tzu is owned by Kiyen Yeung and has been open in East Windsor since 2007.

House specials include a Thai Casserole with chicken, shrimp, lemongrass and a spicy curry coconut milk sauce; Mongolian Beef; Crispy Duck with a house ginger sauce; Thai Red Snapper and Wok Grilled Garlic Shrimp, prices range from $9.95 to $13.95. Vegetarian dishes also are available.

Starters include egg rolls, spring rolls and summer rolls; crunchy crab rangoons; steamed or fried dumplings; teriyaki beef or chicken skewers; barbecue spare ribs; vegetable or shrimp tempura. Soups, lo mein, pad Thai, Thai curry and pan fried noodles also can be ordered as sides.

Lunch specials include rice or rice and an egg roll along with traditional Chinese dishes, such as General Tso’s chicken, sesame chicken or beef with mixed vegetables.

Mei Tzu is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. They offer take out and catering.
