Be prepared when your cars begins to slide or spin out of control in ice/snow. Winter weather is here and in New England it is essential to be prepared to drive in various conditions.

Are You Ready for the Roads This Winter?

Do you want to become a better driver in adverse conditions?  Are you prepared and confident on the road for yourself and others when your car or the one in front of you begins to slide or spin out of control in snow or ice?  The cold, wintery weather is upon us and in New England it is essential that we are prepared to drive in various conditions.  The Suffield Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a presentation at the Kent Memorial Library on Wednesday, January 30 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. to help you navigate the roads more safely and with confidence.  The presentation is free for drivers age 16-21 and $5.00 for all other drivers and passengers.     Below is the information for the class.

Fee:                 $5.00 (free for drivers age 16 - 21)

Instructor:        Stephan Bastrzycki-Professional Driver & Master Instructor at Skip Barber Racing School

Description:     Learn the best techniques to drive in seasonal weather conditions.  Tips that will be covered include:  preparing yourself and car, driving in snow, ice, rain and vehicle dynamics.  Even if you are just a passenger you will learn ways to be attentive and helpful in adverse conditions.  Limited enrollment.  Registration deadline is Tuesday, January 22 and/or when the program is full.
