Wal*Mart good?

Good or Bad for the small towns? (my comment below on the article form the North Adams Transcript)this is how my BLOG started... "Well they gave out Grants in the local community, such as $ to Dury Highs Athletic dept... etc...and produced more jobs for local people and the people who have been there for years KEPT their jobs, seems as if a lot of pride is behind this and THAT is a good thing"! ~CJ COMING to MY HOMETOWN too! As a native of Springfield, MA. which is where BIG Y is based, and someone who loves to support the local Mom and pop stores I have mixed reviews and feelings about the Pro's and con's, of a huge chain moving in. As do the people in my MOM's hometown of N.Adams who just opened up their Super Walmart, there really isn't any nice, or BIG stores in the area so hopefully this will BOOST their economy.? There ARE how ever awesome local stores, so please don't forget to go downtown and shop too! I am now a Resident of E.Windsor, CT (where my father and grandfather were raised) and we are going to be opening OUR Super Walmart in August... This is just up the road from me. I will admit I do shop at the current Wal*Mart now. I have little $ and need to stretch it... I still shop Geissler's Supermarket, when I can, and other local stores around. I guess what I'm saying is that I HOPE I and so many others like my are doing the right thing and have a HEALTHY BALANCE of both the Local and chain stores to help build and support my community! Thanks for listening~What are your thought's? ~CJ
