A Good Head Shot Is Worth a Thousand Words … Get Yours at the Next "Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks"

OK, so you could post that selfie to your Linked-In profile and other career websites.  But if you think professional lighting, a high-end camera and an artist/expert behind the lens could make even the slightest difference, come to the next “Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks” this Wednesday, May 14, at 6PM.  John Garaventa, an accomplished local portrait photographer, will be taking digital head shots of attendees for just $25.   You’ll find that not only are the lighting better and the image quality sharper, but John will choose an angle that will make you look your best.  According to many social media experts, a good headshot is vital to reflecting an individual’s personal brand and connecting a face to one’s virtual identity.

“Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks,” the popular monthly networking/money-management event for young (and older) adults, takes place the second Wednesday of the month at MCC on Main, 903 Main Street, Manchester, from 6 to 8 PM.   The first hour at this month’s gathering will feature a craft-beer sampling from Manchester’s Top Shelf Brewing Company and sliders from Corey’s Catsup & Mustard burger bar.   After sitting for your head shot, you can also enjoy complimentary advice from Stacey Zackin, Life and Career Coach and founder of www.thecoach4you.  She’ll have tips on how your resume and marketing materials can communicate your Unique Value.   If you’re interested in taking advantage of her insights, bring these materials with you for a quick review.

At 7 PM, Kyle Reyes, President and Creative Director of The Silent Partner Marketing, will give a presentation on how to build and monetize your “personal brand.”   His company is a boutique marketing firm focused on helping businesses grow in an age of exploding technology.
