The museum is home to a variety of streetcars from the 1890s to the 1950s. The volunteer-run museum was established in 1940 and is owned and operated by the Connecticut Electric Railway Association, the oldest incorporated organization to preserve the trolley era. The museum hosts private events such as birthday parties and field trips, and offers group packages and facility rentals.
