JetBlue Airways Begins Flights from Bradley International Airport to West Palm Beach Today

The new route is the second JetBlue has added in as many weeks, and the fourth since the airline began service at Bradley in November 2010.

JetBlue Airways Thursday launched its year-round new daily nonstop flight between and West Palm Beach International Airport.

With this new route, the airline now provides low fare service between Connecticut and three Florida cities. With the addition of new service to San Juan, Puerto Rico last week, this is JetBlue’s fourth destination added from Hartford-Springfield _ a strong pattern of growth since the airline started service  at Bradley in November 2010, officials said in a press release.

"West Palm Beach and Hartford-Springfield are both important markets for JetBlue, and have seen impressive growth over the past year," John Checketts, director of route planning for JetBlue Airways, said in a statement. "While our ties to both communities increase _ like our recent deal with Pratt & Whitney, who will provide engines for our Airbus A320neo fleet and our recently announced West Palm Beach to San Juan Puerto Rico service _ we continue to add more service and more seats. Our value product resonates well within both communities and we’re happy to continue growing."

“West Palm Beach is an important and inviting destination for Bradley customers and I am delighted that JetBlue has chosen to add yet another Florida connection to our roster,”  Connecticut Airport Authority Chairwoman Mary Ellen Jones said in a statement. “JetBlue’s commitment to superb service and customer satisfaction has already made this carrier a customer favorite in and out of Bradley.  I am confident this new investment will quickly pay off in dividends to our travelers and the team at Bradley – not to mention Connecticut’s overall economy.”

JetBlue’s schedule between Hartford and West Palm Beach: depart West Palm Beach 2:30 p.m., arrive at Bradley 5:16 p.m.; and depart Bradley at 6 p.m., arrive at West Palm Beach 9:02 p.m.

JetBlue started flying from Bradley in 2010 with nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Fla. and began flying to San Juan, Puerto Rico just last week.
