Frugal Family: Free Pancakes, Free Yoga and a Cultural Deal

Great ways to save you money March 1-6.

We all know that money can be tight at times, and rising gas prices certainly aren't helping. That said, saving a buck or two through deals is always welcome.

We've scoured around for some of the area's best deals this week on food, clothing and culture. These deals will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

1. IHOP - Springfield, MA; Bloomfield                    

Deal: On Tuesday, March 1, head to IHOP for National Pancake Day between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. and get a free short stack of pancakes. IHOP is raising money for Children’s Miracle Network and ask that you consider making a donation.

Deal: Save 15 percent on clothing for kids with this coupon.                              

Good through: March 17

 

3. Connecticut Art Trail: Art Pass - Statewide

Deal: Soak up local culture by visiting 15 Connecticut art museums for $25 with an ArtPass.

Good through: Two months from purchase date.

 

4. Geisslers -

Deal: The local grocery chain is holding a truckload sale on canned goods, individually or by the case.

Good through: March 5.

 

5. The Yoga Shop - South Windsor                                   

Deal: This friendly and welcoming yoga studio offers a free hot power vinyasa yoga class every Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Good through: Indefinitely
