Juvenile Rescued From Connecticut River on East Windsor/Windsor Locks Border

Juvenile either jumped or fell into the river, according to police

Emergency personnel on Friday evening rescued a male juvenile out of the Connecticut River after he either jumped or fell from the Route 140 bridge that connects East Windsor and Windsor Locks, police said.

East Windsor Police Sgt. Jeff Chant said that members of the Enfield Fire Department, Windsor Locks Police Department, East Windsor Police Department and Warehouse Point Fire Department all responded to the incident. Members of the Warehouse Point Fire Department made the recovery, Chant said.

The juvenile was transported by Windsor Locks Ambulance to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center; the juvenile’s condition remains unknown, Chant said.

The matter is still under investigation by the East Windsor Police Department, Chant said.
