"Antiquers" in Connecticut are fortunate to live just next door to the largest antiques fair in the world - the Brimfield Antique Show. Every year, more than 6,000 dealers and over 130,000 guests visit Brimfield, MA during show weeks, which take place this year from May 10-15, July 12-17 and September 6 -11.
If you have never visited, it's not too late to stop by the May show. Folks have until Sunday to check out the one-mile stretch of dealers located on either side of Route 20 and in the surrounding 23 fields, which are chock full of tents and tables displaying everything imaginable.
Not everything offered is necessarily an antique - there are artists, crafters, jewelers, furniture makers, sellers of reproduction items and so much more.
Food options are plentiful, as well.
If you have any questions, or if you are looking for an item in particular, visit the Brimfield Antique Show Web site at http://www.brimfieldshow.com/ to locate specific vendors. The site also offer tips on how to get the most out of your visit.
