Ted is off today, but don’t fret. Although this will be a much less entertaining Daily 5, Windsor Locks-East Windsor Patch is still here to provide you with a quick look at five fantastic things happening in and around town.

  1. There is a free American Kestrel program today at the Warehouse Point library in East Windsor. Guest speaker Tom Sayers of Tolland will share all sorts of good information about this endangered bird.  
  2. It's never too early to plan school vacation week activities, and the New England Air Musuem has you covered. Click here for a list of daily activities during the week.
  3. Curious about what State Rep. Christopher Davis, R-East Windsor & Ellington, has to say about the upcoming legislative session in Hartford? Read all about it in this announcement he recently posted to the site.
  4. The South Windsor Youth & Family Services is hosting a dinner to benefit The Sandy Hook School Memorial Scholarship Fund on March 1 at the Charles Enes Community Center. Tickets are on sale now through the town human services office.
  5. The Windsor Locks High School girls varsity basketball team is awat at East Granby today at afternoon at 7 p.m. The East Windsor varsity boys basketball team is away at Somers at 7 p.m., while the EWHS varsity girls basketball team is at home against Somers, also at 7 p.m.
