Three Trees Grow in East Windsor (Thanks to Infoshred)

East Windsor-based company donated one tree, and the town bought two more after pear trees were removed in front of Town Hall.

Three new trees are growing in front of East Windsor Town Hall thanks in large part to Infoshred.

The East Windsor-based company that secures on- and off-site document destruction and storage recently donated one of the trees as thanks for the town’s response to Infoshred’s roof collapsing in February 2011.

“Infoshred received on-going assistance and support from the Town of East Windsor, amidst challenging times during and following the partial collapse of their 50,000-square-foot facility,” according to a press release.

First Selectman Denise Menard said in a telephone interview that two flowering pear trees had been split and had to be taken down in front of Town Hall. So, when she heard Infoshred was donating a tree, Menard inquired of Beebe Landscaping as to whether it was possible for the town to acquire two more.

So now there are three fledgling dogwoods in front of East Windsor Town Hall.

“We’re so lucky to have such a great business to recognize us for our jobs,” Menard said. “To be thanked once in awhile is a very nice thing.”
